Luck of the Irish

With Hoboken "St. Patrick's Day", otherwise known as "Parade Day" coming up this weekend, my friends and I have been trying to figure out what to wear. In the transition from going out on this day each year to now, the difference is 3 things. First, the amount of alcohol i can consume. My day-drinking days are over and i put on a pretty weak showing. Pacing myself has never been an asset of mine. Second, how i feel the next day. No matter how much i drink or eat or prepare, i will always feel awful. Third and most importantly, what i wear. Back in the day(3 years ago), i would wear something obnoxious like a shirt with an leprechaun body on it or something along those lines. But these days, i want to look fashionable, but still festive. I've put together some cute items i've found that you can wear on days like Parade Day or St. Patrick's Day and still wear for most of the year with any other combo of colors. It's also really important to keep in mind that we need to stay warm as you tend to be outside and it is still only the beginning of March. For those of you participating in the festivities this weekend, have a good time and most importantly, stay safe! Justin Timberlake - Two Days Late

Finally, Friday came around and we got to see Justin Timberlake in concert. We were so excited that it was finally here. The concert was beyond incredible. He was literally born to be a performer. Definitely one of my favorite concert of all time. I recorded my FAVORITE song "My Love" on my iPhone - for everyone to see! Check it out here! I didn't get such great outfit shots because i was very preoccupied with JT but one selfie should do. I know Justin is really what's important here…

MIA

Sorry i've been pretty MIA the last week, it was crazy for me. Between Justin Timberlake canceling and rescheduling his concert, i had a million other things going on. However, i did manage to wear some great outfits and catch some great fashion looks in NYC while i was there all week. I'll be (hopefully) posting everyday with flashback posts from last week and new posts from this week! To begin, i went into NYC on Wednesday afternoon with plans to meet my cousin, Sarah, at her apartment to then head off to the JT concert. We were both SO excited about it - how could you not be? As we are walking out the door, my husband calls and tells me to check out the news because my mother-in-law told him that the concert was postponed. We were so upset but realized that we would then get to spend TWO nights together in one week! That never happens with our busy schedules. We decided to go to The Plaza for drinks and dessert to eat our feelings away (thanks, Justin). I absolutely love the flowers in The Plaza, i actually used the florist for my wedding so i had to get Sarah in a picture. We got yelled at shortly after for taking pictures in the lobby. After as many glasses of champagne that we had, it didn't bother us too much!

Animal Prints

I am all about animal prints. I think i must have at least 10 shirts with different types of animal prints whether is leopard or zebra. Honestly, anything matches with it. You can wear red or pink or yellow and it still goes perfectly. So ideal for when you want to just throw something together for a Sunday night dinner like i did here.

Snowy Saturday

It was snowing all day yesterday but my husband and i had to go out to get a birthday present for my mother-in-law. Even though i wanted to stay in bed all day, i put on an oversized comfy sweater and leggings. The sweater i wore is actually my mom's from years and years ago but it is one of my favorites. It is the BEST. Most of the sweaters i wear were my mom's and i've kind of taken over ownership of them… it's a compliment to her, right?

Roses are Red, Manolos are Blue

Valentine's Day was somewhat quiet for me and my husband. I cooked a nice dinner and then we went and met some friends for drinks. I had on a different dress but realized it was absolutely freezing out so had to change and got into red & pink mode while i was at it! Kendall on the other hand, went with statement shoes. Check us out!

Such a great occasion to wear this perfect, satin blue Manolos out! Kendall paired them with leather leggings and a simple black tee.

And the final shot are my beautiful roses from my wonderful husband. Couldn't leave this out! :)

Love in Shoes

I think there are two different kinds of love. The kind of love you have for you family and friends and the kind of love you have for your things. The love you have for the people in your life is unexplainable. You can't compare this to the love for something concrete, it is just a different emotion. However, the love you have for material things is a different story. I can compare my love for chocolate as much as i love TV or more specifically, watching The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. But i can't compare the love i have for my family to anything. Getting to my point, i love shoes. I can't help but fall for a good design and detailing of a great shoe. I'm all about comfort and quality when it comes to picking my shoes, but a little height does the body justice. You won't find me in 5 inch heels, because i can't walk for more than 10 minutes in them but i respect the design for someone who can. More power to you! All the shoes on my list are top-tier shoe designers whom i absolutely LOVE. Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Love love!

Style Crush - Miranda Kerr

I've always admired the way Miranda Kerr can pull off any style she wants to. Whether it's Hollywood glam on a red carpet or messy bun with her kid on her hip, she always looks fabulous and is dressed to impress. She just so happens to be one of the most beautiful women in the world, so i'm sure her closet is full of goodies from designers we(i) dream about. Along with Olivia Palermo, she has a best accessory in her absolutely adorable son. I mean, how cute is he!? He also happens to dress like a rock-star, which helps her take the #1 spot on my list of celebrity fashion icons. I know most of this is supposed to be based on her street style, which we can all relate to, but my absolute FAVORITE outfit she wore was this jeweled Dolce & Gabbana dress, without the underlay. She wore high waisted black under garments and a black bra. Paired with classy, satin black Louboutins and red lips - she pulled this off flawlessly. Below this stunning look are a few of my other favorite looks...

Her and Olivia don't just have great style in common, they both hail their own cabs, too!

Colorful Winter

My go-to outfit for this winter has been short with tights and a top. I just can't get away from the combo. Not only does it look cute, but black opaque tights totally elongate my legs. I hadn't been out to get dressed up in awhile until i went for dinner and drinks with two of my girlfriends so we decided it would be a perfect night to get a little sassy. Instead of buying a bunch of new pairs of shorts for winter, i use my summer shorts but just add the tights. Most of the time, it works perfectly and adds that color you need to get through the long, cold winter nights! I was getting ready alone so see my first ever public (!!!) selfie here.

Blue Steel

Oo, la la! Talk about rico suave… Check out my man model, Pete! I met Pete through a friend of mine awhile back but once he heard about my blog, he did not hesitate to get into model mode (photos courtesy of KP). Dressed to impress as always, Pete lives the life we all dream about in warm, sunny South Florida.  His go-to statement piece on a regular basis are his fabulous cowboy boots, which i hear he has a pretty good collection of. Every girls dream - to have a man with a shoe obsession just like ours! I have got to find myself a pair of those bad boys. Nicely done, Pete… until next time.

Valentine's Day Gift Guide: Part 2 - For the Fellas

As much as i firmly believe Valentine's Day is all about the ladies and spoiling us with unconditional love, it is always nice to show the men in our lives how much we truly care about them with something special to make them smile. I always look at Valentine's Day gifts as something they normally wouldn't buy themselves, without going to crazy. The necessities - clothes, shoes, wallets, etc. - are always great go to gifts. However, you can always stick to the coupon book and homemade meal, the way to any mans' heart.

Style Crush - Olivia Palermo

Who doesn't have a style crush on this It Girl? She won our hearts over years ago when featured on MTV's The City and since has become a fashion icon. She is completely fearless when it comes to what she decides to wear and the trends she chooses from. Each and every outfit i see her in, i'm in utter amazement on how it was put together with such genius. Girl can rock whatever she wants! Check her out below in some of my favorite looks:

Oh, and how could I forget mentioning… as much as I adore Olivia's extensive handbag collection, I must say my favorite accessory of hers is her new fiancĂ©, model Johannes Huebel

You can shop Olivia's looks on her personal style blog: www.oliviapalermo.com. That's all for now…
